Shekinah Ballet School, officially founded under Rainbow Gymnastics Inc in 2020, is a Christian ballet studio dedicated to sharing with young dancers the love of Jesus Christ in a warm, creative, and professional environment.

At Shekinah Ballet School, we believe that ballet should be performed with excellence, so we set out to prepare students for a career in a professional dance capacity.

At the same time, we also feel that a career starts with gentleness, fun, and creativity. First and foremost, we want to let each child know that they are dearly loved and accepted just as they are. Our staff desires to lead with authenticity by creating a community for growth and development as well as professionalism through an experience that will leave a legacy with them throughout their lives.

Director

Brook Stanbery

I started my own dance training when I was 7 years old at Clarissa's Dance Studio in Greencastle before moving on to Laurel Valley Dance Studio in Shippensburg, PA where I trained for seven years. After high school I trained at Chambersburg Ballet Theatre School for a semester, and performed in their production of "the Little Mermaid."

Directly after that, I became the ballet instructor at Bloom Dance Studio. In 2022, I completed nine years at Bloom Dance Studio before turning my focus to Shekinah Ballet School. Directing Shekinah Ballet Studio has been one of my greatest joys. I am thankful and humbled to have this opportunity, and I love to see what God is doing in the lives of each student.

Now, we are excited and prayerful as we enter this next phase of the journey of sharing dance and Jesus' love with the community.

Ballet Instructor

Beth Skroban

Mrs. Skroban is a classically trained ballet teacher with over 35 years of experience teaching at
all levels. She has at schools in New Jersey, Maryland, and Pennsylvania. Beth studied ballet
with former Kirov ballerina Luba Gulyaeva and others at the Botsford School of Dance in
Rochester, N.Y., as well as with Elizabeth Carroll at the Saratoga Dance Academy in Saratoga
Springs, N.Y., and Michael Steele of the New York City Ballet. Beth received a ballet
scholarship to West Virginia University, where she continued studying ballet while receiving a
BA degree in Russian history. Mrs. Skroban also teaches farmstead history programs at
Buttonwood Institute, and fiber arts from her home.
